| The handheld is not sending
and/or receiving beams.
Here are
a few things to check when your handheld is having problems
beaming:
1. Are the handhelds on the same plane? It's
best to set them both on a desk facing each other to beam.
2. Are the handhelds close enough so the beaming signal
is received? It's probably best if the handhelds
are within several inches of each other.
3. Wipe off the infrared eye on both handhelds where
the signal is sent. (On m130s this is on the top
of the upper left side of the handheld.) This will clear any
kind of buildup from dirty fingers, erasure or dust, etc.
4. Check to make sure each handheld is set to receive
beams. Go to the Pref menu. In the upper right hand
corner, select General from the pull down menu. Is the handheld
set to receive beams? If that preference is turned off, turn
it on by clicking on the down arrow.
