The Process

Plan your balloon route:   Create a world map showing your route, the name of the continents, your landing places, and the miles between each point.  Remember that your balloon will need to land on each continent. Log your travel plans.  You may use this log if you choose. Calculate the total miles and the amount of time that your balloon will travel.
hint: the balloon will travel an average of 10 miles per hour.
hint: Antarctica is mostly populated by scientists, therefore there are not any major cities there. You will just be responsible for showing the distance between your last city and the city of Delphia, Antarctica.

Let's go shopping:  You and your friends will need to brainstorm all the items you will need to for the trip.  You will need to buy a balloon, helium gas, and other items for the race.  You can stop along the way to buy needed items.

Journey Journal:  Write a journal about your exciting trip.  You should tell about your adventures and interesting sites for each continent.   Each entry should include the following:
The name of the continent, people you have met, animals, and a place of interest.
People and Places of the World: Use this site to look at pictures and captions from each continent to complete your journal.
